Her Story

This humble Viera hails from the Skatay Range, and is the youngest amongst her five other siblings.Unfortunately, her life was not all that plesant while living amongst her clan. Growing up, Svara had earned her sibling's scorn through the fact that their mother had passed away shortly after giving birth to Svara - a complication during labor that the village healers could do nothing about. Despite it not being directly her fault, her siblings isolated her, including her sister Mydia who was her caretaker. Over the years her sister made it painfully obvious to Svara that she was unwanted, and for the brief moments she got to see her brothers when they would come up to trade with the other females of the clan, they too acted as if she were diseased.Only her father had shown her some bit of kindness, and it was because of him that a young Svara had left the village one day to follow after him into the forest at the base of the mountains. Unfamiliar to the terrain of the land, Svara ended up falling into a river and nearly drowned had her father not come to her aid. He saved her and managed to sneak her back to the village, making her promise not to leave the village again.Year after year, Svara endured the torment of being the odd Viera of the female tribe. Her height was lacking compared to the average female Viera, her hair an odd combination of dark and light due to her parents genes, and her clumsiness made her incapable of being useful with anything. Eventually , it grew to be too much, and Svara knew that the village did not want her - so she left, hoping to seek a place that was more welcoming to her. Having heard of Vieras living in the outside world, banished for reasons that were against the clan's laws, she had hoped they would be the ones to give her what she sought for most.Traveling down the mountain, she attempted to travel to the city of Doma. However, she was unaware of the Garlean invasion that invaded the land at that time. She was captured and taken prisoner by the Garleans, forced into a cell with other Domans they had captured and forced into working as a slave. It was only when she and the other captives were being boarded onto a Garlean airship bound for a castrum in Ala Mhigo that she was able to find freedom. The airship was attacked by Doman liberators and Svara had managed to escape with the help of other captives who brought her to the surface when the airship crashed into the water.With nowhere to go, she fled for the closest place - the Black Shroud.Tired, starved, weak, and scared she was as she made her way into Gridania. It was there, in the city's marketplace, that she bumped into two other Viera. A married couple named Katari and Vy'dar. Seeing the girl in her poor state, they comforted her and gave her a fresh start working at their bakery. There, amongst the enticing aromas of fresh baked goods and the warm company of its patrons that came through the doors, Svara started learning how to be around people who did not judge her.The circle of people she came to trust grew beyond just that of Katari and Vy'dar, who she considers her actual siblings. Caius Ranhama, another Viera from the Skatay Range, had been the next one to help Svara grow from her shell. Through him she met Toraal, a Raen from the Steppe with a love of fishing almost as big as the love she has for her friends, and through her siblings she met more Viera who were far happier with their lives outside of the clan rules.Though her story started of grey and bleak...the people she came to build bonds with brought color and wonder to her life.But her story is not done...for an artist never just creates one masterpiece.

ever since svara started working at the bakery, she picked up a passion for cooking. although she learned how to make some foods from her siblings, she joined the culinarian's guild in limsa to further her skills in the kitchen. she's always experimenting with new recipes! you can always try her cooking at the boathouse bistro where she works with the owner and her closest friend - toraal.◦━ LIFE IN THE SKATAY RANGE
perhaps you're a viera from her clan that recognizes her or may have heard of either her or one of her other siblings. although she doesn't openly talk about her life back then, she may recognize you or you recognized her.

as an artist, svara wanders from place to place during her free time to sketch or paint what inspires her. sometimes she paints for work, but most of the time she does it because it brings her joy. maybe you've seen her wander around with her traveling art kit or you're someone familiar with her work.

1. firstly, i am not looking for an ooc relationship. i am already happily in one.

2. under no circumstances will i erp, so if that is what you're looking for - please move on.

3. walk up rp is acceptable in my book.

4. i am a 10 year veteran of ffxiv and i usual rp my characters following the lore of the world to the best of my abilities based on what is canonically correct and has been discussed either by the devs or the ffxiv rp community forums. just know there might be a difference in views when it comes to certain topics.

5. respect and consent is a big key factor to me. do not come in and change my character to suit your needs or force my character into uncomfortable situations.

6. while i am open to rping with new people, i usually tend to stick to small groups. sometimes i will float about to rp venues, but i am shy to some degree and may not always initiate rp. so as mentioned above, walk ups are welcomed and if i do not respond right away, please do not take offense. i may have stepped away as i do tend to be busy sometimes irl and go afk randomly.
